Practice Experience: After graduation, I started the first full-scope certified nurse-midwife practice in Pocatello, Idaho. In 2005, I left the practice to teach at Idaho State University’s Nursing school. In 2006, our family relocated to the Dallas area, where I attended births at a local birth center. Most recently I worked at Parkland Hospital, as part of a large Midwifery Service.
My role: The birth of a child is a pivotal experience in a woman’s life. My role is to ensure a safe and satisfying birth experience for the woman and her family.
Personal: I am married and have been blessed with six children, one son and five daughters. My hobby is gardening.
